      Where:Clarion Inn College Park (corner of Rt. 1 and Berwyn Rd)
      Who:Dr. Catharine Asaro: "The Mathematics of Music"
      Featuring musicians Donald Wolcott, Darrell Dunning, and Keith Miller.

      Dr. Catherine Asaro has a PhD from Harvard in chemical physics, is an award winning science fiction author, a musician, and the founder and coach of the Chesapeake American Regional math League team. In her "spare" time she can be found in the ballet studio keeping herself in shape. In April 2009 she released her novel Diamond Star and a CD by the same name working with the Baltimore rock band Point Valid. [www.catherineasaro.net]

      Accompanying her for this evenings lecture will be Donald Wolcott a Jazz pianist, who began his life-long passion for the piano at the age of 5! He has continued to nurture his passion obtaining a music scholarship to Towson. He has performed with multiple bands and has won multiple awards at Jazz festivals, including the Maestro Award at the Washington DC. Heritage Music Festival. Darrell Dunning, drums, began his career early in life watching Ringo Starr, and listening to the likes of Miles Davis and James Brown. He ventured into other types of music but has now returned to his jazz roots. He currently plays in 4 jazz bands. Keith Miller, has a PhD from Princeton in Theoretical Physics but began his musical career at age 6 on piano. He taught himself jazz and has played in multiple big bands in the area. He currently works at University of MD CP in the Physics department.

      What:Dinner will be buffet of Indian and American cuisines:
