Biographical Information:Paul C. Kettler has been a member of Sigma Xi since his induction into the Princeton University Chapter in 1963. He was educated at Princeton, the University of Chicago, and the University of Oslo (Norway). He is a visiting research scholar in mathematics at the Centre of Mathematics for Applications, a designated Centre of Excellence of the Norwegian Research Council, and the Department of Mathematics at the University of Oslo.
Currently Dr. Kettler is the Associate Director of the Canadian/International Constituency Group of Sigma Xi, and a member of the International, Publications, and Qualifications and Membership Committees. He founded the Nordic Chapter, the first cyber-chapter of Sigma Xi, during the first half of 2009, and served as its first President. He remains active in Nordic Chapter activities, having worked to organize the first two Annual Meetings and Research Conferences of the Chapter in Dragør (Copenhagen), Denmark, in May 2010, and at Aalto University in Espoo (Helsinki), Finland, in May 2011.
From his posture on the International Committee he worked with Committee Chairman Antonio Pita to organize the first Annual Meeting and Research Conference of the newly formed European Region of Sigma Xi, in Espoo, co-located and following by a day the Nordic Chapter meeting. Executive Director Jerry Baker participated in both events and delivered keynote addresses.
A further initiative of Dr. Kettler was to develop the relationship between Sigma Xi and the scientific networking web platform www.ResearchGate.net, presenting the relationship concept to the Board of Directors for approval. He has been, and remains, the Superadministrator of Sigma Xi's Sub-Community on www.ResearchGate.net, which now has 4500 active Society members.
His commitment to the future of Sigma Xi, if elected to the Directorship of the Constituency, is monitor and promote the activities of all Chapters within the Constituency and to advance the international expansion of Sigma Xi, as mandated by the Board of Directors. He expects, as well, and to continue his activities within the Nordic Chapter and with www.ResearchGate.net.
Dr. Kettler lives with his wife Bente in Oslo, Norway. Together they enjoy traveling, music and literature, and outdoor activities.

Biographical Information: Dr. Moore-Orr is an Adjunct Professor of Community Health and Humanities in the Faculty of Medicine at Memorial University of Newfoundland. She has a Doctorate in Nutrition and Health Services Administration from the Harvard School of Public Health. She has served on the Boards of many NGO and Professional Associations and National Advisory Councils and Committees. She currently serves on the National Advisory Committees to the Canadian Chemical Producers Association and the Canadian Blood Services. She is Past Chair of the Board of Directors of the Canadian Institute of Child Health.
She has been a member of Sigma Xi since 1979 and was a founding member of the Avalon Chapter in 1985 and was one of the early Presidents of the Chapter. Since moving to Ottawa she has been an active member of the Ottawa Chapter.
