Jonathan Clark has been at Weber State University since 1998, where he currently is a Professor in the Department of Zoology.  His research interests are in the area of molecular evolutionary genetics.

He is a past recipient of the College of Science Seager Distinguished Teaching award and the university's Lowe Innovation Teaching award.  From 2010 through 2013 he served as the College of Science Endowed Scholar. He has been actively engaged in undergraduate research since 1991 and has supervised numerous undergraduate research projects, leading to peer-reviewed publications and presentations with students at numerous national and international meetings.

Jonathan received his Ph.D. in molecular genetics from Ohio State University and completed postdoctoral research at the University of Arizona, where he was the recipient of fellowships from the National Science Foundation and the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation.
