Election Results 2014

Members of Sigma Xi, The Scientific Research Society voted November 10-December 9, 2014, to select their future officers.

The 2014 elections had the highest participation since voting was first held online in 2011.

"After a record level of participation from Sigma Xi members, we are excited to announce the Society’s new officers," said Jamie Vernon and Jasmine Shah, interim co-directors of operations for Sigma Xi. "Members elected their new leadership from a more competitive field than previous years. We appreciate all the effort from members to nominate and select these generous volunteers and we look forward to working closely with the winners as they take on the responsibilities of their new positions.”

The president-elect serves a one-year term, starting July 1, 2015, and then serves as Sigma Xi president from July 1, 2016, to June 30, 2017. He will serve as past-president from July 1, 2017, to June 30, 2018.

"Our task is to preserve the mission and to make Sigma Xi stronger so that it can push forward on its important work in its two essential directions: 1) celebrating and honoring good science and 2) invigilating scientific integrity."



Directors will serve three years, starting July 1, 2015.
