Important Dates and Deadlines 

Please note the following important dates & deadlines for the 2014 International (Student) Research Conference:

• August 1, 2014 - Online Registration and Abstract Submission Opens
• October 3, 2014 - Early Registration Deadline for Presenting Students
• October 4, 2014 - Hotel Reservation Deadline (to receive discounted group rate)
• October 15, 2014 - Deadline for abstract submissions to be printed in the conference program book (abstracts received after October 15 will be printed in the program addendum)
• October 24, 2014 - Final registration deadline for Presenting Students
• October 29, 2014 - Final deadline for abstract submissions to be printed in the program addendum (abstracts received after October 29 cannot be printed in the meeting materials)
• October 29, 2014 - Final deadline for Non-presenting Student Registrations (on-site registrations for Non-presenting Students begin on-site at the host hotel on Nov. 6)
• November 3, 2014 - Registration Cancellation Deadline; See Cancellation and Refund Policy (see below)
• November 6, 2014 - On-site registrations open at the hotel; Student registrations are for Non-presenting only)

Cancellation and Refund Policy

• To receive a full refund of registration fees, written notification of the cancellation must be  sent by email by the Registration Cancellation Deadline noted above.
• A $25 processing fee will be deducted from all refunds after the Cancellation Deadline.
• Requests for refunds of optional event tickets purchased will be accepted through the Cancellation Deadline.
• Pro-rating of fees based on the proportion of the meeting attended cannot be authorized.
• Sigma Xi reserves the right to refuse refund requests that fall outside these guidelines.
