VonGugel2015"An Overview and Analysis of Hydrogen Fuel Cell Technology"
Alec Von Gugel, Pine Crest School

A literature review that aims to investigate the advantages and drawbacks of different types of hydrogen fuel cells, production processes, and storage methods.

Keilwelle"A Novel Microfluidic Device that Detects Iodine Concentrations from Saliva"
Sophia Hu, Ryan R. Chen, & Amanda Lin Li
North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics

A novel microfluidic chip that uses the starch-iodine colorimetric reaction was developed to determine iodine concentrations in saliva, which correlates to thyroid-stimulating hormone levels.

Schaadt2015"Load Capacity and Thermal Efficiency Optimization of a Research Data Center Using Computational Modeling"
Joseph Russell Heinlen Schaadt, Villanova

Data centers are most commonly cooled by air delivered to electronic equipment from centralized cooling systems. The research presented here is motivated by the need for strategies to improve and optimize the load capacity and thermal efficiency of data c

Shumikhin"A new methodology for a dramatic increase in efficiency of Nanomotors of varying stators and system parameters"
Michael Shumikhin, The Bronx High School of Science

Optimizing the F1-F0 ATP Synthase nanomotor. A computational approach to model the dynamics of a novel multi-statored nanomotor.

LeeVoth2015"Assessment of Contributing Factors to the Reduction of Diarrhea in Rural Communities of Para, Brazil"
Lee Emerson Voth-Gaeddert, Missouri University of Science and Technology LinkedInTwitterIconsm This presentation covers the causal factors associated with diarrhea, specifically looking at several villages in Para, Brazil. The combination of transmission pathways from person to person creates a complex system surrounding diarrhea.

Varma2015"A Wireless Smartphone-Based System for Diagnosis of Pulmonary Illnesses"
Maya Varma, Presentation High School

I have designed a smartphone-based low-cost pulmonary function analyzer that can be used to measure lung function and diagnose various pulmonary illnesses.

Keilwelle"Development of a Novel Formula SAE Intake Nozzle"
Kabou Yengo-Passy, The Bronx High School of Science

FSAE, a design competition, requires nozzles to have restrictors, limiting horsepower. A de Laval nozzle can increase air velocity and mass flow rate. COMSOL was used to test thirteen different nozzles based on converging and diverging angle magnitudes.

Keilwelle"EMG Virtual Arm Model"
Yu Zhang, The Bronx High School of Science

My project is about creating a virtual model of the muscular structure of the human hand. IT involves using EMG signals and 3D computer vision tracking to predict the movement and forces exerted by various muscles in the hand.
