RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC—The Sigma Xi Committee on Qualifications and Membership has selected Sigma Xi chapters that will receive the 2017–2018 chapter awards as well as recognized the chapters that initiated the most new members over the last year.

Chapter Program of Excellence Awards

Chapter Program of Excellence Awards are bestowed on the following chapters that organized and/or hosted a single outstanding program during 2017–2018. Nominees were chosen by the regional and constituency directors based on chapter annual reports. 

  1. University of Michigan Chapter for their Ethics Symposium on Gene Editing (CRISPR/Cas9)

  2. State University of New York at Oswego Chapter for their Sigma Xi Student Award at the QUEST Symposium

  3. Williams College Chapter for their Public Lectures Series

Chapter of Excellence Awards
