2002-2003 Chapter Outstanding Diversity Program Awards

Diversity Program Awards are presented to chapters that have organized outstanding programs that promote diversity within the science, engineering and research communities.

The Tuskegee University Chapter co-sponsored with the USDA Cooperative State Research Service and the Tuskegee University Center for Bioethics this year's student research symposium that attracted the largest crowd in several years. The chapter also supported area schools through the donation of equipment.

The University of Puerto Rico-Mayaguez Chapter held its first research symposium with the participation of the chancellor and the deans of the four faculties. In addition the chapter held a poster day with over 160 students presenting posters.
