Statement

United We Stand, Together We Shine

Sigma Xi, is one of the most influential groups of professionals and students in the scientific research community. I have had the privilege of working as a researcher for four years in college-level interdisciplinary research projects as a high school student and freshman. I put myself forward for this position not only to be able to have more of an active involvement with the society, but also to be able to share what experience I have of being an young researcher at the very early-stage of my research career.

For the following year serving as the Membership-At-Large Constituency representative to the Committee on Nominations, I would be happy to contribute to the community by driving member awareness and engagement in the Membership-At-Large community, especially among students and young scientists in their early research careers. I am looking forward to developing an innovative education-research partnership to inspire a future generation of young scientists to reach their potential.

I am honored to be nominated and placed in the ballot, and I would willingly give my enthusiasm, experience and energy to the Committee on Nominations in the following year.

Thank you for considering me for the position. Please feel free to contact me at jiahui.li@columbia.edu or give me a phone call on +1 (347) 401-0768 with any questions.
