Sigma Xi Center Construction Timeline

In November 2002, the Sigma Xi Board of Directors voted unanimously to proceed with construction of the Society's new home in Research Triangle Park. In December, a building site, architects and contractors for the building project were selected. The building design concept was developed in January, and site preparation began in February. Board members gathered in March for an official groundbreaking ceremony, and the Society initiated the public phase of its capital campaign with a mailing to members and friends. Construction is scheduled to be completed in November 2003.
