Chapters » Program Support
Through a variety of grants, endowments and institutional partnerships, Sigma Xi strives to offer chapters opportunities to support the development and implementation of programs, particularly in the areas of education, ethics, public understanding of science and health of the research enterprise, including diversity and international issues. Some opportunities are ongoing, such as access to the Grants-in-Aid of Research and Distinguished Lectureships programs. Others may be related to grants or support that has a limited lifetime. Whenever possible, Sigma Xi encourages chapters to document their successes for dissemination to other chapters through this Web site.
Details of these opportunities are included on the page links to the left; a brief summary follows.
Multi-Chapter Granting Program: Funding opportunity for chapter collaborations at a maximum of $1,000 annually for a two-year activity run ($2,000 total per collaboration).

Grants-in-Aid of Research: Funding opportunity for undergraduate and graduate student research.
Chapter Education Grants: Science, Math, Engineering Education (SMEE) grants of up to $1000 available to chapters.
