SETAC OVC jointly sponsored three science fair awards with Sigma Xi at this spring’s Annual UC Science & Engineering Expo on March 12, 2011 at the University of Cincinnati for outstanding environmental projects. The fair is an annual regional fair and open to grades 6-12 in a five-county area in Southwestern Ohio who score “superior” at their school science fairs. Judges from the chapter included Barb Butler, Brian Dyson, and Dan Petersen. Three top presentations were chosen from among over 25 in the Environmental Science & Engineering category. In addition to the $50 from SETAC OVC and $100 from the chapter. The awards were distributed as three $50 awards.
