During the last Dinner Meeting at the Civic Garden Center, it was suggested that the group return in the spring or summer for a tour of the Center and outdoor Grounds. The July 12th Dinner Meeting provided members and guests with just that opportunity. Those attending met in the Center lobby at 6:30 pm and socialized amid a wonderful view of the Grounds. (see below, upper photo). A casual dinner catered by Maya's of Blue Ash followed. After the dinner, Sue Trusty of the Garden Center provided the group with a brief history of the Center along with an update of Center plans for the future. Then, Center horticulturist Jim Hansel (above, center) took the group on an outdoor tour of the Center Grounds. During the tour, members got a first hand glimpse of the beautiful Grounds with the added benefit of expert commentary on just how they are maintained. A brief Chapter meeting closed the night with the announcement of the new officers recently elected by the membership. These officers, serving two-year terms, are: Michael Schock, President; Fred Williams, Vice President; and Ron Stetler, Secretary-Treasurer.
