Annual Business Meeting, Banquet, and Lecture

Michelle Greenfield was honored for her work as an outstanding teacher on the pre-college level. She is a math and science teacher at the East Literature Magnet School in Nashville.

The speaker for the evening was Brandt Eichman, an Assistant Professor in the Departments of Biological Sciences and Biochemistry at Vanderbilt. His talk was entitled Molecular Machines that Protect DNA.

Brant was the 2009 winner of the Young Scientist award presented by the National Headquarters of Sigma Xi.
