The Charlotte Chapter of Sigma Xi, and the Charlotte Area Science Network are pleased to recognize several awards for scientists and science educators in the Charlotte area. At an annual celebration event, winners of the following awards are celebrated:

• Outstanding Undergraduate Researchers and their mentors from area Universities
• Outstanding Science Educator Award to educator at the elementary, middle and high school levels
• PERI Prize for Public Understanding of Science to an active Sigma Xi Charlotte chapter member
