Omar Gutierrez,an undergraduate student at Univ Puereto Rico, Rio Piedras and a newly elected associate member has received a Grant in Aid of Research Award for purchase of soil temperature probes to investigate variations in soil content of CO2 in a moist tropical setting. The Chapter congratulates Omar on his initiative and wishes success in his investigations.
