Graduate Student & Post Doctoral Researcher Research Poster Competition
The Purdue University Chapter of Sigma Xi, the scientific research society, conducts a yearly Graduate Student and Post Doctoral Research Awards Competition in the format of a scientific poster session.
The first prize of $200 is provided by Sigma Xi, The Graduate School, Office of the VP for Research, and Colleges of Agriculture, Engineering, Science, and Health & Human Sciences in recognition in each of the four research areas:
Physical Sciences
Life Sciences
Engineering
Behavioral and Social Sciences
Post Doctoral Researchers are judged in their own category.
There will be one prize for each approximately 15 posters in a research area. In recent years, this has resulted in at least 2 top awards in both Life Sciences and in Engineering.
