Lecture Series
Twice a year, our chapter cosponsors seminars with science or engineering departments on campus. These seminars must be of broad interest to researchers in other disciplines, and they are intended to foster communication and interaction between departments. If your department is planning a seminar of broad interest, and you are interested in cosponsoring this seminar with Cornell Sigma Xi, please contact Rayna Bell, as soon as possible.

Sigma Xi on the Commons
This fall, our chapter will sponsor the Cornell Sigma Xi "Science from the Slope" on the Commons in downtown Ithaca during the annual Apple Festival. This event is intended to foster the communication of science to the general public by providing students a chance to present their research to a general audience in a poster session during Ithaca's Applefest October 1st and 2nd. If you are interested in presenting a poster at this event, contact Fiona Soper or Kim Morrell (Activity Coordinators).

Membership
Finally, our chapter awards membership in Sigma Xi to students, faculty, and postdocs who have distinguished themselves through excellence in scientific research.
