Syracuse Chapter celebrates 100th year anniversary

The Syracuse chapter formed in May 1906, so this year we have some events planned to celebrate our 100 years of service to science, education and society.

1. The chapter has received funding to bring in a Distinguished lecturer on February 16th, 2007 - Anthropologist Dianne Gifford Gonzales will present a lecture on "Before Farming and Villages: Earliest Pastoralists of the Sahara". Her talk will be held at LeMoyne College and will be followed by a cheese & wine reception.

2. The Annual Banquet and business meeting is scheduled for Thursday April 26th at 6 pm at the Craftsman Inn in Fayetteville. Please join us for a delicious meal, followed by a welcome to new members and an after dinner lecture.

3. The life-blood of our chapter is new members. Please nominate new colleagues for membership. Nomination forms are available on the Sigma Xi website at http://www.sigmaxi.org/member/join/index.shtml
