The Washington University Chapter of Sigma Xi sponsors colloquia on campus at irregular intervals. In addition, we frequently collaborate with the St. Louis University Chapter and the Monsanto Chapter to sponsor activities for the larger community, such as the teleconference on Biodiversity, etc.

We schedule two regular programs:

Each October 15, we have a competition for Undergraduate Research Awards. In this program, we pick 6-10 promising science related projects, and award up to a $200 honorary stipend to aid in the research.

Each April 15, we join with the humanities honorary, Phi Beta Kappa, to sponsor a lecture of national prominence in our large campus lecture facility, Graham Chapel, whch can seat 750 people.
