Chapters » Chapter Awards » Procedures

Each year, Sigma Xi awards chapters that have demonstrated exceptional innovation and quality in their annual programming. The process begins with the Chapter Annual Report, due to the administrative offices each year on July 1. Each chapter is required to complete this report to remain in good standing. As part of the Annual Report form, chapter officers are encouraged to provide additional information about noteworthy programs and initiatives.

Regional Directors will review the Chapter Annual Reports received by July 1 and will recommend for Chapter Program Awards up to five chapters from each region to the Committee on Qualifications and Membership. For Chapter Program Award the following information is considered: the relevance of the individual program to Sigma Xi's mission and the overall quality of the noteworthy programs described in the annual report.

Constituency Directors will review the Chapter Annual Reports received by July 1 and will recommend for Chapters of Excellence up to five chapters from each region to the Committee on Qualifications and Membership.
