Candidate's Statement: I was first nominated for membership in Sigma Xi as a student at Princeton University, and I have always been impressed with the Society. I am currently living in Belgium, where there is no local chapter. Therefore, I am interested in serving on the Sigma Xi Nominating Committee for the Canadian and International Region to take a more active role in the Society. I think that it is very important to the future of the organization to have strong leadership, and thus I will work to identify qualified and interested candidates for these positions. Further, in an effort to highlight the international reach of the Society, I would particularly like to encourage members located outside the US to participate in Society leadership.
