Bora Zivkovic is the Blogs Editor at Scientific American. He is also a co-founder and vice-chair of ScienceOnline, and co-founder of ScienceSeeker.org. He is the series editor of The Open Laboratory, the annual anthology of the best science writing online, and co-editor of its multimedia counterpart, Science Studio.

Bora started his first blog in 2004. On his blog, now named A Blog Around The Clock, he covers a broad range of scientific topics, including circadian rhythms, animal physiology and behavior, and evolution, as well as discussions of the rapidly changing online media ecosystem that includes blogs and social media. Bora has been dubbed the Blogfather because of his efforts to discover and encourage new science bloggers as well as to build the science blogging community.

He is on the advisory board of the UNC Program for Medical and Science Journalism, on the editorial board of the Journal of Science Communication, and has held a two-year appointment (2011-13) as visiting faculty in the Science, Health and Environmental Reporting Program (SHERP) at New York University.
