Hotel Accommodations: The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel is a non-smoking facility.

Hotel Internet Access: Be sure to bring your laptop. Internet access may be purchased for guest rooms at a cost of $12.95/day. The hotel does not provide complimentary Internet access in any area of the complex.

Hotel Business Center: Attendees may also make use of the hotel's full service Business Center for copying, printing, faxing, computer use, internet access and shipping services. Please see the hotel for details on cost and services.

Hotel Reservations: To receive the discounted group rate, you must mention that you will be attending the Sigma Xi Meeting. Reservations received after the cut-off date will be accepted only on a space availability basis, and may be at the hotel's prevailing rates. All reservations must be accompanied by a first night room deposit plus tax, or guaranteed with a major credit card. The hotel will not hold any reservations unless secured by credit card or room deposit.

Hotel Reservation Deadline: Extended to Friday, October 23, 2009 - Reservations made after the deadline are subject to the hotel's availability and prevailing rates.

Hotel Room Rate: $169 + tax Single/Double/Triple/Quad occupancy per night. Room rates are subject to any applicable taxes that are in effect at the time of check-in. The group rate expires with the reservation deadline.

Hotel Arrival/Departure: Check-in after 4:00 p.m. Check-out 11:00 a.m..

Airport to Hotel Transportation: Each registrant is responsible for securing and paying for his/her own transportation from the airport to the hotel.

Hotel Parking: On-site, self parking at the hotel is $2/hour or $9/day. Hotel valet parking is $15/day. Sigma Xi can not validate parking. Free public parking is located near the hotel at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavillion. Although not associated with the Marriott, the parking deck is connected to the hotel via a covered walkway that crosses over Six Pines Road. The walkway connects to the hotel on the 3rd level near the Waterway Ballroom.

Bus Transportation on Sunday: Sigma Xi will arrange for buses to take attendees from the hotel to the George Bush Intercontinental/Houston Airport (IAH) immediately following the conclusion of the final Assembly of Delegates on Sunday morning. A ticket will be required to board the bus. The cost of the ticket is $15 and you must purchase a ticket during online registration for the meeting to be guaranteed a seat on the bus. This price is an inexpensive option compared to the price for the Super Shuttle ($23+tip) or a taxi ($60+tip)to the airport. We will NOT be arranging buses to Houston Hobby (HOU) airport.
