In conjunction with its 111th Annual Meeting for Sigma Xi members, this two-day Student Research Conference provides a forum for highly qualified undergraduate students in the Biological, Physical, Mathematical, Social Sciences and Engineering to present their original research to professional researchers.

Talented Student Pool - The Sigma Xi Student Research Conference attracts the brightest undergraduates from North America and abroad. Participants include students who conduct research in all fields of Science and Engineering.
Student Participation by Field of Research
Emphasis on Recruiting Underrepresented Groups - Typically more than 40% of student attendees are from underrepresented groups. Through various outreach efforts, Sigma Xi encourages students from groups that are underrepresented in the sciences to participate the Student Research Conference.
High Visibility - Exhibit booths will be located in high traffic areas at the conference. Exhibit locations are centered in the Student Poster Presentation room and near break services to insure a high volume of visitors. A number of Exhibit Packages allow recruiters to select their booth location. Please consult the Conference Floor Plan for more information on booth locations.
Promotional Opportunities - Many unique promotional opportunities exist at the Sigma Xi Annual Meeting & International Research Conference, all designed to help exhibitors get their messages to an interested audience. These opportunities include:
Networking Lunch: Maximize your interactions with students through meaningful conversations about programs offered by your organization. Your designated table allows you to host interested students.
- Publicity in the Program: Promote your organization through an advertisement in the conference program. The programs are distributed to all participants including students and career researchers.
- Publicity outside the Conference: Optimize your impact through the Sigma Xi Web site, American Scientist Online, Science in the News Weekly (a weekly e-newsletter) and American Scientist magazine by extending your reach well beyond the meeting. American Scientist magazine has a circulation of 75,000 and reaches students, scientists and engineers throughout the world. American Scientist Online averages more than 2,400,000 page views and 400,000 unique visits each month. - Student Raffle: Encourage participants to ask questions about your institution and programs. Provide questions about your programs that students must answer in order to receive prizes through a raffle held during the Student Awards Ceremony.
- Special Sigma Xi Recruitment Package for Exhibitors Purchase a Premium or Sponsor Package and you are entitled to one promotional brochure to accompany award checks to the Sigma Xi Grants-in-Aid of Research Program recipients. Sponsorship Opportunities - Maximum visibility before, during, and after the Conference is available for conference sponsors.
