Additional Comments: If elected, I shall strive to organize a regional meeting and to facilitate the development of a list of faculty expertise among our membership so that each member chapter can call upon these faculty for lectures, pre-peer-review of planed grant applications, etc. This would expand and enhance our existing visiting lecturer program. I should also like to create a subcommittee of our regional members to organize political support for increased funding of scientific research by our State/Provincial and Federal/National governments.

I know the problems and would like to work toward driving the membership enrollment curve upward.
