Assemblies & Regional and Constituency Meetings
November 20-23, 2008

Assembly of Delegates
The Annual Meeting includes time for delegates to execute some of the business of the Society. The Assembly of Delegates, normally held in two or three sessions during the meeting, allows chapter representatives to elect officers, participate in presentation of awards to outstanding chapters, and act on any business items that may be before the Assembly for action, such as dues rates, resolutions submitted by chapters and any changes in Sigma Xi's Constitution.
Regional and Constituency Caucuses
Each chapter of Sigma Xi belongs to one of the Society's six geographic regions AND to one of the Society's five constituency groups (grouped based on institution or chapter type). To foster networking on issues relating to chapter management, impacting science and engineering research and/or supporting the business of the Society, delegates have the opportunity to meet with representatives from other chapters in smaller Regional Caucuses and Constituency Caucuses.
