Hanscom Chapter President Paul H. Carr welcomes guests
to the chapter's annual banquet on October 26, 2003.

Steve D. Mittleman, a recent past president of Hanscom Chapter,
introduces Maj. Gen. Paul D. Nielsen.

General Nielsen, Commander of the Air Force Research Laboratory,
delivers the keynote address to the banquet in which he highlights
the satisfactions and responsibilities of a career in research.

The Executive Director of Sigma Xi, Patrick D. Sculley,
outlines his vision for Sigma Xi and gives a virtual tour
of the new headquarters building in Research Triangle Park.

Dr. Sculley inducts Gen. Nielsen into Sigma Xi as a full
member and presents his membership certificate.

Dr. Carr presents Dr. Sculley with a token of the Chapter's
appreciation of his visit
