Conrad Foundation – Spirit of Innovation Awards
The Conrad Foundation is dedicated to fundamentally shifting how science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) are taught in K-12 schools and across socioeconomic levels.
The Innovation Challenge, an annual competition that challenges high school students to develop commercially-viable, technology-based products that address real-world issues.
As the official science advisor to The Conrad Foundation, Sigma Xi offers its chapters and members the extraordinary opportunity to work with secondary school student teams around the country to foster science innovation and entrepreneurship. Sigma Xi members are invited to serve as online mentors, team coaches or competition judges. Members may register on the Conrad Foundation Community Portal to volunteer as a mentor.

2012 - 2013 Spirit of Innovation Competition
“The Spirit of Innovation Challenge invites student teams to use science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) skills to develop commercially viable products addressing real-world issues. The 2012-2013 competition launches Sept. 27. Are you ready to get your genius onTM?” to read Register today to create a team and submit your team's abstract by October 24th, 2012!
The 2012-2013 Competition will include presentations in Aviation and Aeronautics, Cybersecurity and Technology, Energy and Environment and Health and Nutrition. The Innovation Summit will take place at the NASA Johnson Space Center and Space Center Houston.
