Over the course of his career at IIT, Professor Segre has had the opportunity to teach undergraduate courses at all levels and graduate courses specific to his research expertise. He also served as Associate Chair of the combined Biological, Chemical
and Physical Sciences Department for six years and and as Associate Dean
for nearly twelve years in various positions.
Currently Professor Segre is Director of IIT's Center for Synchrotron Radiation Research and Instrumentation which he helped found in 1988. In this capacity he is promoting synchrotron radiation research throughout the IIT campus.
Professor Segre received his B.S. in Physics and B.S. in Chemistry at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, and his Ph.D. in Physics at the University of California, San Diego.
