Statement

It is an honor to be a part of Sigma Xi, The Scientific Research Honor Society Inc. I have been a member of this esteemed organization for past several years. Being an early career professional myself, it would a pleasure if I can contribute to this prestigious society.  As a starting point, I would like to serve as the representative on the nominations committee.  Earlier, I have been an active participant of several organizations like member of Disaster Action Team (DAT) for American Red Cross, Secretary of ECD ACeRs, Elected member of Faculty Senate in University of North Dakota (UND), award committee of ECD (Engineering Ceramics Division) of ACeRs, and Robert L. Coble Award for Young Scholars (ACeRs). I have also successfully organized several international conferences (details in the biography). I believe, I have excellent background to be a highly successful representative of the Nomination Committee. If elected, I will be an excellent team member, and would like to focus on career development, increasing membership, and outreach activities for minorities and under-represented communities.
