STEM Outreach Programs 

There are numerous STEM Outreach programs for chapters to encourage member engagement and involvement in their local communities. Chapters may choose to organize these efforts independently or by joining the Outreach Department on their campus. Below are some examples of outreach programs Sigma Xi chapters can participate in. 

Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts

Introduce a Girl to Engineering

The first ever Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day came to be in 2001. Engineers use this opportunity to introduce more than one million girls and young women to engineering. Now more than just a day, Introduce a Girl to Engineering is a movement, getting girls involved and showing them how engineers are changing our world.  To learn more please click here. 

Techbridge

Science Cheerleader

Science Fair Judging

Being a science fair mentor or judge is a way to "give back", and is a source of personal satisfaction while providing crucial guidance that ultimately helps direct the future of young scientists.
