Candidate's CV

Candidate's Statement: I am David Moran, and I have served Sigma Xi in numerous positions for the past 40 years… I have been Treasurer of the Society on two occasions: I have served as your representative for the past three years, and I have been a member of the Board of Directors for some 15 years.

Our Society is in crisis… all of us need to join ranks to preserve the mission of Sigma Xi. Our Membership-at-Large constitute the largest "chapter" in the Society, and we all share the same objectives… namely to preserve the extraordinary progress and accomplishments of the Society independent from the interests of any particular university or industrial chapter.

We represent the character of Sigma Xi. We stand apart from the local and institutional interests of our many wonderful Chapters. We represent the unified and collegial spirit of Sigma Xi, and my objective for the next three years is to make that voice a strong and vibrant reminder that Research Science is the most powerful force in society.

Sincerely,

David Moran
