New! Sigma Xi Research Symposium

We are pleased to announce the Sigma Xi Research Symposium as a new component of the Annual Meeting and Student Research Conference in 2016. The symposium is an opportunity for professionals to share their research and for professionals and students to engage in conversations on current issues related to the scientific community. The symposium will include:
1) Poster presentations in the following research disciplines:
- Agricultural, Soil and Natural Resources
- Behavioral and Social Sciences
- Cell Biology and Biochemistry
- Chemistry
- Ecology and Evolutionary Biology
- Engineering
- Environmental Science
- Geo-Sciences
- Math and Computer Science
- Physics and Astronomy
- Physiology and Immunology
Sign up to present your poster during registration. This session will include lightning talks of selected presentations.
The deadline to submit research abstracts was October 31, 2016.
2) Career development workshops and panels. Tentative topics include:
- Communicating science for forming public and private policies
- Issues relating to finding, or being, a mentor
- Science Entrepreneurship
- Careers in science
- Science policy
