RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC—Nominations are being accepted for the inaugural cohort of Sigma Xi, The Scientific Research Honor Society’s Fellows distinction. Full members who maintained active membership for the last ten years continuously and life members are eligible for the distinction. Nominations are due by February 1, 2020, using an online form.

The Fellow distinction will honor members who have provided distinguished service to Sigma Xi and made significant contributions to several of the following areas of the scientific enterprise: research and development, outreach, teaching and curricular innovation, mentorship, science advocacy, or leadership.

Becoming a Fellow is a lifelong honor that will be celebrated with a ceremony during Sigma Xi’s Annual Meeting. The honorees will receive a pin and a recognition certificate. They may use the post-nominal title “FSX,” for Fellow of Sigma Xi.

Sigma Xi has a distinguished history of acknowledging scientific research excellence with the purpose of creating a community for companions in zealous research. The Board of Directors approved the selection of a cohort of Fellows to continue annually.
