Supporters of Stem Education Show up on Giving Tuesday

Donate Today (3)

The Sigma Xi community made its support for science education clear on Giving Tuesday held on December 1, 2020. With the help of generous donors, we raised over $20,000 to send one-year digital subscriptions of American Scientist to high schools and provide these schools with opportunities to bring scientific experts and authors from the magazine directly into their virtual classrooms. Sigma Xi, The Scientific Research Honor Society renewed its commitment to help protect science in schools where academic freedom laws or bills continually challenge the established science in textbooks and threaten science education.

Sigma Xi thanks all the donors who contributed so generously to this effort!
Donations are still being accepted to send subscriptions and experts to additional schools.

If you still wish to make a gift to support Sigma Xi’s campaign, our fundraising page will remain open through December 31.

Thank you again for supporting Sigma Xi’s 2020 Giving Tuesday campaign. We’re grateful and proud of the Sigma Xi community’s commitment to aiding in the education of young students during this difficult year.
