I have been a member of Sigma Xi for almost 20 years. Nominated and made vice president of the DC chapter in the same sentence. I have since served 2 terms as director of the Mid Atlantic Chapter and multiple terms as associate Director of both the Multi Institutional and Mid Atlantic at different times. I have served as member and as chair of the Committee of Qualification and membership for numerous terms. In 2016 I proudly received the Evan Ferguson Award, a man whom I met and immediately admired from my first annual meeting. As you may have seen I am also the unofficial official photographer of the Sigma Xi annual meetings.

I am currently a biological Scientist with USDA Animal plant health and inspection service. For 25 years I was a citrus pathologist support scientist with USDA ARS. Maintaining a world wide collection of citrus pathogens in planta, providing positive controls and cooperating with researchers globally.
