FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC — The American Scientist Podcast is proud to announce the premiere of its new limited audio series, “Wired for This,” launching on September 10, 2025. This bi-weekly series takes listeners deep into the psychology of human behavior and neuroscience—unpacking what drives us forward, what holds us back, and how we navigate a world overflowing with noise, contradiction, and complexity.

Hosted by journalist and neuroscientist Celia Ford, “Wired for This” brings together leading experts to explore the science behind our thoughts, decisions, and connections. Guests include:

  • Paul O’Keefe—psychologist and researcher on how mental barriers shape the goals we pursue and our potential to achieve them.

  • Emma Levine and Shereen Chaudhry—behavioral science professors who provide strategies for navigating difficult conversations in high-stress environments.

  • Jason Lodge and Phillip Lorenz-Spreen—researchers examining how our consumption, processing, and sharing of information are evolving in a tech-driven world.

Each episode offers thought-provoking discussions designed to challenge assumptions, spark curiosity, and provide fresh perspectives on the forces shaping our lives.
“Wired for This” premieres September 10, 2025, with new episodes dropping every other Wednesday. Listeners can find the series on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, iHeartRadio, and all major podcast platforms. Follow The American Scientist Podcast to stay updated and never miss an episode.
